Many of us have friends or loved ones who have or are currently battling cancer, a mother Teresa Shaw, traveled from Iowa to Minneapolis with her daughter to attend a Garth Brooks concert on Friday which turned into one of the most inspirational viral videos on Youtube.
Shaw, a mother of 3 and longtime Garth Brooks fan has been battling stage 3 breast cancer since June.
During the song "The Dance," Shaw held up a sign which read "Chemo this morning, Garth tonight, Enjoying the dance."
As Garth performed an usher surprised Shaw and asked her to follow him, he preceded to usher her to the front row. Once there, Garth noticed the sign, walked over to her and began to serenade her. After the song he then handed her the very guitar he was playing, kissed her forehead and held up her sign rallying "People ask sometimes if God would just stick out his hand and write, I exist! Well God just stuck his hand out. You have my strength, you have everybody's strength in here, and you go kick cancer's ass!"
Brooks also is no stranger to the pain of cancer, he lost both his mother and a sister to the disease.
"To give away something like that is just remarkable, and now if I ever have a bad day, I can always go look at his guitar and get inspiration," Shaw told KARE-11.
In closing, we leave you with a few inspirational words from The Dance:
"Yes, my life is better left to chance, I could have missed the pain but I'd have had to miss the dance."
